Fund Overview

Watch to find out about the impact our grantees are making with the help of SVCF Regional Fund.

San Mateo County Transit District + Transform

Transportation between Silicon Valley and San Francisco is more interdependent than ever, but transit systems aren’t yet effective in getting commuters to and from work. Regional Fund grantees, San Mateo County Transit District and TransForm, will use fund dollars to support innovative transportation solutions such as freeway express buses and high-occupancy toll lanes.

2016 grant amount: $150,000 San Mateo County Transit District; $65,000 TransForm

Mission Economic Development Agency

Regional Fund grantee, Mission Economic Development Agency, is using their grant to develop and implement a “Fair Housing framework” to create equitable housing policies in San Francisco. These policies will contribute toward the city’s affordable housing goals and will establish a model for equitable housing in communities outside of San Francisco.

2016 grant amount: $70,000 Mission Economic Development Agency

The Great Communities Collaborative

The Great Communities Collaborative is co-chaired by SVCF and The San Francisco Foundation. The Collaborative’s Bay Area growth model enables residents to turn their cities into walkable, mixed-income neighborhoods with affordable homes near transit, jobs and services. Regional fund dollars will help implement the Collaborative’s new strategic plan across the entire nine-county Bay Area.

2016 grant amount: $180,000
