Donor Circle for Safety Net: Housing

Donor Circle Safety Net

Focusing on Affordable Housing Solutions in the Bay Area

Silicon Valley is experiencing a housing crisis of epic proportions. The Donor Circle for Safety Net: Housing is a group of philanthropists that are committed to learning more about the complexity of this crisis and its impact on vulnerable populations in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Through collective learning, donors review and invest in critical policy, advocacy and civic engagement strategies that are addressing the housing needs in our community. In particular, the donor circle has decided to focus on housing preservation, tenant rights, rent control and homelessness through the creation of affordable housing.

The Donor Circle for Safety Net: Housing is open to all donors at SVCF. Membership in the donor circle offers:

  • An opportunity to learn from local experts and strategists about this complex issue
  • Increased philanthropic impact by pooling resources with other passionate donors
  • Participation in the selection of housing organization grantees

We invite you to join fellow philanthropists at an upcoming donor circle meeting or by investing in our collective impact with a donation to the Donor Circle for Safety Net: Housing fund.
